Most 'trends' don't outlive a single season. A few changes in landscape design are real and worth following.
Native and naturalistic planting
Meadow-style borders, native grasses, and pollinator-friendly perennials are replacing rows of clipped boxwood. They look better in summer drought and require less long-term care.
Larger-format hardscape
24x36 and larger pavers replace small modular pavers in most premium projects. Cleaner lines, fewer joints, easier to maintain.
Warm-toned lighting
2700K is becoming the default for landscape lighting — softer, more flattering than older 3000K fixtures.
